Introducing Chasintg Gravity Big Achievers program. Gymnastics is a very detailed sport that takes practice, focus, and positive encouragement to learn. We want to give your daughter the confidence she needs to succeed in the gym and in life. That’s why we have developed our Big Achievers program.
Big Achiever’s is specifically designed to help your daughter to progress in gymnastics in a fun, safe, and positive environment. All our Big Achievers classes meet twice a week for an hour, because we know that more opportunities for practice will increase your daughter’s chance of success. And girls who experience success and encouragement at a young age are more likely to remain confident through their crucial tween-teen years.
Additionally athletes in our Big Achiever program will train skills progressively on all 4 events, vault, bars, beam and floor, with the potential to join the Chasing Gravity Gymnastics Xcel team. Before joining the team your daughter will also have the opportunity to show off her skills in bi-annual gymshow. At this show each Big Achiever will display the skills they have learned while performing routines on each event. This show will also be an opportunity to celebrate level advancement for those athletes who are ready to progress.
Most athletes in this program should be ready to compete after one full year of training and after having completed the Big Achievers level 1 program. However it is important to remember every athlete will progress at their own pace. Athletes will be evaluated on an ongoing basis, with official testing taking place approximately 5 weeks prior to each show. Athletes or parents may request an evaluation at any time.
Our Big Achievers program will encourage growth in your child through our special level up water bottles. Each Big Achiever will receive a water bottle that corresponds with their level. Every time your child experiences success physically, emotionally, or interpersonally they will be awarded with a Big Achievers sticker to proudly display on their water bottle.
This class will teach the basics of gymnastics and will not focus on skill acquisition, but rather on the core principles of the sport: improved strength, balance, and flexibility. The purpose of this class will be a FUN introduction to gymnastics. This class is not leveled, as the main goal is not progression.
The Bouncers program will be used to encourage growth for your child through exploration and positive reinforcement. Chasing Gravity coaches will be well versed in focusing on each individual child and his or her needs, as well as building a sense of belonging in a group setting. A key focus for all children in this program will be to gain confidence by overcoming new and challenging physical obstacles.
Our Bouncer program is nongendered and intended for our friends who want to learn gymnastics in a positive environment. The types of skills learned in Bouncers will include, handstands, cartwheels, bar strength, rolling, flipping, and rope climbing.
Our Middle/High School Class is a non-gendered class focused on creating a fun, positive environment for your teens to dive into the world of gymnastics or to stay in shape for High School Gymnastics season. This class will get your teen out of the house and our experienced coach will lead them through skills on bars, beam, vault and gymnastics floor to allow them to learn and improve in their skills.
We believe that all kids who want to compete on team will be placed in a group that is appropriate for their skill level. These kids learn routines on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and spring floor and perform them in front of a panel of judges. If you are interested in our competitive gymnastics team call us at 509-244-7061 or stop by the office.
We would like to introduce our adult gymnastics experience! It is called FAB which stands for Flips and Bengay. The Bengay is not included in this class. This is a great opportunity for adults who want to learn gymnastics or who did gymnastics once upon a time and would like to continue working on their skills. Gymnastics doesn't have to end at the age of 18 and is still a great workout. This experience will be an open gym format with a coach who will direct all activities.
